What about the island didn't you like?
Besides all the anger from the locals?

Where did you work?

hey intuition,

i didn't like the fact that the typical meal was
bad meat, chicken or fish and for veggies it was onion rings. the golf was a joke, the nightlife was a joke. if you like drugs and ugly hookers i guess it was ok. i worked at a book and loved that part but 12-15 hours a day just because there was nothing else to do got old. living in a hotel was also a drag. tv sucked, frequently out of order. the locals were not very friendly.
the dutch were worse. the best meal i had was on the plane back to miami. oh, i got in an accident. that's a common occurence and the cop called me daily trying to put his claws into me.

Yeah there is only a FEW places to get good meat and most of the so-called resturants server terrible food. I went to the Grill King a couple of months ago and ordered a T-Bione steak and they brought out this t-bone that was about 1/4" thick and had it covered in a brown sauce so I wouldn't notice how THIN it was. This was a JOKE.

I get a better T-bone at DENNY's for my breakfast steak. But Denny's gets old too.

Dont you like the burritos at Hot Peppers? Ostrich meat is pretty tasty. But i find the best steaks are at Mangusas. Just cook em yourself. But I am still searching for a great Steakhouse here. possible business opportunity?

There is an Argentinian grill on the left with a nice mixed plate. About a kilometer before you turn right into "The Campo"......I've heard.

Best Lamb : Wine Cellar
Good Ribs : Ribs Factory, Rodeo, Larry's (depending on the day)
Good Steaks : Tasca Don Argentina, in Punda
Good Milkshakes : Chocolate : Denny's, Oreo : Larry's

Mambo's BBQ night on sunday and Hot wok on wednesday's are pretty good.

Sawasdee in Otrobanda in good if you like it spicy.

Living Room has just opened El Gaucho, dont know what it is like.

Bistro Clouchard has always been good but expensive.

Anyone going to the party at Living room tonight?

Allergic to it personally, but g/f raves about Wine Cellar and Bistro Clochard

Personally, go catch the buggers in caracasbaai, and have a BBQ..

Too much good food this weekend

Dinner at Fort Nassau, excellant, had the steak.

Dinner at Kontiki beach next to Mambo was also good, nice atmosphere

All meals were even better since someone else got the bill :)

Wine Cellar: Great food but I don't like the location and the resturant is TINY and Cramped. If I going to spend that kind of money on food the resturant needs a better ATMOSPHERE.

Fort Nassau: The first time I went there the food was fantastic. BUT everytime I have been there since the food has been TERRIBLE! Way too much salt on the food and they couldn't cook it the way we asked.

Kontiki Beach: My neighbor owns Kontiki. BEST Atmosphere on the island. The steak and salads are OK. But everythinh else is terrible! Like the spagetti ahh! The service is usally bad as well. The owners know this and are trying to make some changes... but it's HARD to find good help here that will give good service when the BOSS is not there...typical Curacao.

This is Curacao, Service is crap almost everywhere...

Just had lunch at Fort Nassau again, the chicken was great, no salt in the cooking, maybe the chef read your post LOL

For good atmosphere at the wine cellar, suggest we book the whole place, move all the tables to the outside of the room, get them to throw on a good buffet meal and attempt to finish all the wine :)

Have you tried Sawasdee..
